{"id":777,"date":"2016-02-17T03:08:27","date_gmt":"2016-02-17T03:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/discriminationandsexualharassmentlawyers.com\/?p=777"},"modified":"2020-01-02T13:12:39","modified_gmt":"2020-01-02T13:12:39","slug":"university-of-tennessee-sexual-harassment-lawsuit-references-peyton-manning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.discriminationandsexualharassmentlawyers.com\/es\/university-of-tennessee-sexual-harassment-lawsuit-references-peyton-manning\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Tennessee Sexual Harassment Lawsuit References Peyton Manning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group of woman filed a lawsuit against the University of Tennessee in which athlete, Peyton Manning was mentioned in the suit.<br \/>\nAccording to the suit filed by six women on Tuesday in a Federal Court, the University of Tennessee set up a policy of indifference when it came to sexual assaults from student-athletes.\u00a0 The women who wish to remain unidentified say the school\u2019s policies spawned an atmosphere of vulnerability for them to endure sexual assaults.\u00a0 The suit further states the school purposely obstructed disciplinary methods <a href=\"https:\/\/discriminationandsexualharassmentlawyers.com\/employment-law\/gender-discrimination\/new-york-city\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in favor of the male athletes<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe suit further indicates that Title IX was violated by the school and that Tennessee created a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/discriminationandsexualharassmentlawyers.com\/employment-law\/sexual-harassment\/hostile-work-environment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hostile sexual environment<\/a>\u201d with their unfair regulations.<br \/>\nThe lawsuit consists of 64 pages and is made up of five cases between 2013 and 2015 but also dates as far back as 1995 for incidents which include the university and a number of student-athletes.<br \/>\nA small part of the document references an incident that occurred back in 1996 between Manning and his then, personal trainer, Jamie Ann Naughright.<br \/>\nNaughright filed a claim of <a href=\"https:\/\/discriminationandsexualharassmentlawyers.com\/employment-law\/sexual-harassment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sexual harassment<\/a> for an incident that happened in the training room when she bent over to examine Manning\u2019s foot.\u00a0 \u00a0The Denver Broncos Quarterback who was a student at the time decided to expose his butt cheeks to the trainer.\u00a0 He explained that it was a prank meant for another athlete.
