She accused the actor of sexual misconduct during a date after meeting him at a party last year. During their date the two eventually go to his apartment after dinner where Ansari repeatedly pressured her for sex, while ignoring her verbal and nonverbal cues that she was not interested in going to bed with him. The woman recounts that she was \u201cphysically giving off cues that I wasn\u2019t interested.\u201d Finally, the woman leaves his until she eventually left his Manhattan apartment and cries herself to sleep.<\/p>\n<p>The next day, Ansari sent her a text message saying, \u201cHey &#8211; it was fun meeting you last night. I just dropped my roll of film today. Fingers Crossed for some solid shots!\u201d to which the woman responded (see bellow), explaining that she left the date feeling \u201cuneasy\u201d and that \u201cIt may have seemed okay. But I didn\u2019t feel good at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apparently oblivious to the woman\u2019s view of their date, and that \u201cno means no,\u201d Ansari responded with an apology, explaining, \u201cit would never be my intention to make you or anyone feel the way you described.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The anonymous woman posted her story, calling herself \u201cGrace.\u201d After the story on \u201cBabe\u201d broke , Ansari issued the following statement:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3220 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/discriminationandsexualharassmentlawyers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/aziz-ansari-text.jpg\" alt=\"sexual misconduct lawyer New York, sexual misconduct attorney New York, sexual misconduct law firm New York, Sexual harassment lawyer New York, Sexual harassment attorney New York, New York Sexual harassment lawyer, New York sexual harassment attorney, sexual misconduct lawyer Philadelphia, sexual misconduct attorney Philadelphia, sexual misconduct law firm Philadelphia, sexual harassment lawyer Philadelphia, Sexual harassment attorney Philadelphia, Philadelphia Sexual harassment lawyer, Philadelphia sexual harassment attorney\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>In September of last year, I met a woman at a party. We exchanged numbers. We texted back and forth and eventually went on a date. We went out to dinner, and afterwards we ended up engaging in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The next day, I got a text from her saying that although \u2018it may have seemed okay,\u2019 upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture.
