Prior to the annual holiday party in December 2015, Aristy\u2019s job performance \u201calways met or exceeded expectations,\u201d and she had a good working relationship with her supervisors, but after that party, her life spiraled out of control because of her <a href=\"https:\/\/discriminationandsexualharassmentlawyers.com\/employment-law\/sexual-harassment\/sexual-harassment-by-a-supervisor\/\">manager\u2019s sexual harassment<\/a>.<br \/>\nBack in December 2015, Aristy\u2019s senior manager Serkar Arabaca invited her a get massages at the Juvenex Spa in Koreatown. Although this is a bit strange, Arabaca also invited\u00a0 Aristy\u2019s other coworkers\u2026 making it a little less outlandish.<br \/>\nThat day, allegedly, while in the \u201ccommon area\u201d of the Juvenex Spa, Arabaca \u201c<strong>REMOVED HIS BATHING SUIT AND PROCEEDED TO FLASH HIS GENITALS TO MS. ARISTY AND OTHER EMPLOYEES<\/strong>.\u201d<br \/>\nIf that was not bad enough, Aristy\u2019s lawsuit claims that Arabaca <strong>FONDLED ARISTY IN A HOT TUB<\/strong>, and that, \u201c<strong>EVERY TIME DEFENDANT ARABACA MADE CONTACT WITH MS. ARISTY, SHE PUSHED HIS HANDS AWAY<\/strong>.\u201d<br \/>\nFollowing the gender discriminatory conduct of Arabaca at the Juvenex Spa, Arabaca\u2019s attitude towards Aristy changed, he became \u201chypercritical\u201d of her work, and he started to \u201cmicromanage,\u201d her. This unlawful behavior continued until Arabaca eventually terminated Aristy in May 2016 in retaliation for her rejection of his sexual advances.<br \/>\nAristy is protected under federal Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and also, New York city and state laws, which mirror federal laws. New York city and state laws are strikingly more liberal than federal laws.
